Mauricio Esquivel
Mauricio Esquivel is graduated with honours in Arts, option in Graphic Design of the Art School of the University of El Salvador, where he was also professor for 2 years. Furthermore, he has done studies in artistic residences in Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico, Costa Rica, UK, and the United States.
Likewise, he has participated in: X Cuenca Biennial, Ecuador (2009); XXXI Pontevedra Biennial, Spain; I International Caribbean Triennial, Dominican Republic; VI Central American Biennial, Nicaragua (2010); The Change, The World Bank, Washington and Paris; II Ibero-American Art Exhibit, Mexico; IX Central American Biennial, Guatemala (2014); among others in the United States, Canada Colombia, and Austria. Since 2016, Mauricio has been involved in Fairs of Art Specialized in Contemporary Art, as well as presented his personal work in El Salvador, Mexico, Colombia, and the United States.
Mauricio’s work is part of the collection of TEOR/éTica; Costa Rica Museum, MADC; Sanziany & Palais Rasumofsky in Austria, and inte World Bank collection, Washington.
Mauricio Esquivel was the winner of the first place in The Young Art Prize of the Cultural Center of Spain in El Salvador in Valoarte. Also, He has been nominated by the Cisneros Collection as a candidate of their scholarship program of Art Production from 2010 to 2014.
Mauricio Esquivel also was the winner of a honourable mention in the Awards & Auction, Fundación Rosas Botrán in Espace Expression Gallery, Miami, and selected for the private auction, Latin American Experience Auction en el Fine Arts Museum, Houston. Finally, Mauricio was the winner of the Art Production Scholarship given by Harpo Foundation within the project New Projects Grants 2018.
